  • Different estate planning documents including the Last Will and Testament, Durable Power of Attorney for Financial Management, Advance Care Directive, Revocable Living Trust, and advanced planning tools, if necessary

  • Information about your family and personal situation

  • Financial information and potential estate tax consequences

  • How to provide for you and your loved ones in the event of your disability

  • How to provide for your loved ones in the event of your death

  • Recommendation of an estate plan that meets your needs and expectations

While not an exhaustive list, the following items can be addressed with proper estate planning:

  • Avoiding probate

  • Maintaining control over your assets

  • Providing for management of assets in the event of your disability

  • Protecting your assets from a surviving spouse’s remarriage

  • Naming a guardian for minor children

  • Setting up trusts for minor, disabled, or spendthrift beneficiaries

  • Saving or eliminating estate taxes

  • Protecting a beneficiary’s inheritance from a spouse or creditors

  • Maintaining privacy

What happens after your documents are signed?

  • You will receive a binder to store your original, signed documents

  • We will go over any housekeeping items including guidance on updating beneficiary designations and, if applicable, transferring assets into your trust

  • We are happy to assist you with any future matters or questions you may have
